Last weekend the GenNOW crew got together to celebrate what has been an enormously successful year. The big team bash was hosted by our owner, Nicholas, and his fiance Amanda at their home in Bloomington, MN. We setup a DJ rig with lights and plasma TV (of course) and every DJ got a chance to rock out on the turntables.

The day culminated into the 2011 GenNOW Award Ceremony. Every Team member was presented with a Certificate of Recognition, and then our top 3 Pinnacle awards were given to this years’ winners. They are as follows:

2011 “GO-GETTER” Award Recipient: Chris Black (DJ Beasey)

2011 “Most Improved DJ” Award Recipient: Ryan Kulka (DJ Velvet Red)

2011 “VISIONARY” Award Recipient: Tim Miller (DJ Thrillz)

Congrats to all of these talented and hard-working people. This company is what it is because of what they do every single day.

* Booked and successfully performed a running total of 653 events!

* We are now a preferred vendor in over 44 venues across Minnesota & Wisconsin

* Was chosen as the Official Entertainment Company of “The Green Wedding” (The first ever all-GREEN wedding in America)

* Featured on Twin Cities Live (KSTP) for “The Green Wedding”

* Chosen as the Official Entertainment Company for the first-ever “PROMoplis” held in the Grand Rotunda at The Mall of America

* Company Founder DJ Mad Mardigan was awarded the “2010 DJ of the Year” by Twin Cities Nightclubs

* Hired PRINCE’s PERSONAL TOUR DJ (Dustin Meyer – DJ Dudley D)

* Became the exclusive DJ Company in 2 of Downtown Minneapolis’ hottest venues: The Imperial Room and Solera

* Provided DJ Entertainment for MPLS Magazine’s “Real Bride” Blogger’s wedding reception, and was featured on MPLS Mag’s Website

* Booked and Performed at The Minnesota State Fair in front of 6000+ Fairgoers – This was the first event of its kind at The Great Minnesota Get-Together

* Featured on WCCO News for The State Fair Dance Party

* Both DJ Mad Mardigan and Tim Miller lead the MINNESOTA LYNX to a WNBA CHAMPIONSHIP (with their excellent musical direction and skill)
